Nereyda Martinez is a licensed Ishtara teacher and somatic guide devoted to helping women come home to their bodies with safety, honesty, and depth.
I created this space because I needed it too.
I’m a mother of two, and for a long time I believed that being strong meant staying silent. That holding it together was more important than holding myself. But inside me.. beneath the to-do lists, the roles, the overwhelm.. there were feelings that needed to be felt.
There was a woman longing to come home.
I’m a Licensed Ishtara® teacher, a movement-based healing method, that helps women reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and inner voice. I hold a B.S. in Family and Human Development, I have been studying Oral Storytelling for 4 years, and I co-own The Healing Tree Collective.. a community space for embodiment and emotional restoration in Tempe, Arizona.
Inside The Moving Mamas, I guide you into a relationship with your body, your emotions, and your truth. Through story, movement, community, and ritual, we begin to remember that our wholeness isn’t something we have to earn. It’s something we return to.. together.

What if I don’t have time?
That’s exactly why this space exists. The Moving Mamas is designed to nourish, not add pressure. Each piece is bite-sized, gentle, and rhythm-based. You can show up when you can and you’ll always be welcomed exactly as you are.
What happens in the monthly live circle?
Our live circle is a 60-minute Zoom gathering guided by Nereyda.
It includes a gentle check-in, breath or movement, emotional suppo
rt, and sacred space for sharing (or just being held in silence). Nothing is required of you.. this is your sanctuary.
Do I need to be “good” at dancing or movement?
Not at all. This is not about performing.. it’s about releasing. The practices are intuitive and accessible, focused on how your body wants to move and feel. No choreography. Just you, your breath, and your truth.
Is this a parenting course?
Nope. This isn’t about raising your kids.. it’s about raising yourself. We focus on the mother as a woman, creating space to feel, heal, and reconnect to the parts of you that often get buried beneath caregiving.
Is it okay if I don’t join the calls live?
Absolutely. All calls are recorded and uploaded for you to watch at your own pace. You’ll still receive the weekly prompts, bonus practices, and community support.. even if your schedule keeps you from joining live.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You’re never locked in. This space is here for you when you need it.. no guilt, no pressure. Come and go as life allows. You can cancel anytime through your account settings.
