Here's What You Learn
Ishtara® is a body-based way to free yourself from repeating patterns in the way you feel, act, and relate. Ishtara goes beyond simply regulating yourself and gives you a method to create healing that truly lasts.
Nervous system safety you can actually return to
You’ll learn how to recognize when your body is in survival mode (fight/flight/freeze/fawn) and how to guide yourself back into regulation and release through somatic movement. This becomes a practice you can use in real life.. when you’re overwhelmed, shut down, anxious, or carrying too much.
How to process emotions through your body (not just your mind)
You’ll learn how to move emotion instead of storing it.. grief, fear, anger, shame, and the “stuckness” you can’t explain. You’ll build the capacity to feel without flooding, and to release without bypassing.. so your emotions become information, not something you’re afraid of.
Reclamation: voice, boundaries, and the woman underneath survival
You’ll reconnect to the truth of who you are... beneath conditioning, people-pleasing, and staying small. You’ll learn how to take up space in your body, trust your inner signals, and embody new patterns through repetition. This is where boundaries become clearer, self-trust gets stronger, and your life starts reflecting you.

Hi, I'm Nereyda.
Nereyda Martinez is a licensed Ishtara® teacher and somatic guide devoted to helping women come home to their bodies with safety, honesty, and depth.
It used to feel like a curse to be a woman.
From the way I dressed, to how I moved my body, to how I expressed my emotions.. nothing ever felt like it was mine to claim.
Motherhood ripped me open. She became my greatest mirror and showed me the truth: I didn’t want to keep living in a world that kept me disconnected from my body. A world that taught me to fear my body… to fear my pleasure… to fear my sensuality.
It kept me from feeling deeply, and it kept me from knowing the power within me that was always there.. dormant, patiently waiting.
Ishtara® became my medicine. It showed me the truth.. my truth.
It ripped away the layers of upbringing, culture, and society that tried to confine me into who I was expected to be.
Because of Ishtara®, I’ve walked courageously on a path of liberation.. reclaiming my body as mine, releasing what was never mine to carry, and allowing myself to enjoy the pleasure of being alive in this body.
And now, as a licensed Ishtara® teacher, I guide women through this same reclamation.. so they can feel safe in their bodies, process what they’ve been carrying, and remember who they are beneath survival.
Inside Ishtara®, we learn how to move what’s been held for too long.. grief, fear, shame, and anger. Not as a “bad” emotion, but as a sacred signal: this matters… this crossed a line… this is what I will not tolerate. When anger is met with safety, it becomes clarity, boundaries, and life force.
We also work with pleasure.. not in the way the world has twisted the word, but in its simplest truth: what feels good. Pleasure is a nervous system anchor. When the body experiences safety, softness, and comfort, it becomes easier to come out of fight-or-flight and into presence.

What is your refund policy?
Ishtara courses includes education on somatic approaches to healing and a moving meditation practice. Due to the nature of this work, Ishtara is NOT REFUNDABLE for any reason. Once the fee is paid, and prior to each session, students will receive a link to attend along with access to all other relevant material each week.
What is your cancellation policy?
All Ishtara reservations and courses are non-refundable for any reason. Please ensure you are able to take the course as scheduled before making your payment.
Is Ishtara® therapy?
No, Ishtara is not therapy. It's a self-guided method you can use on your own, with or without a teacher. Many students find it enhances their therapy work by adding the body-based, felt experience that talking approaches sometimes miss. If you are currently in therapy, we suggest speaking to your therapist before starting any embodiment program.
I'm nervous about the movement – what's it like?
The movement is gentle way to follow your own body in breath and sensation as a form of meditation – no choreography to learn or "right way" to do it. You can practice sitting, standing, or even lying down, adapting everything to your comfort level and physical abilities.
How much time will I need to commit?
You can lean the basics of the method is our 2.5-hour class. If you desire transformation, the method is 12-weeks to learn guided by a teacher. Once learned, daily practice requires only 15 minutes, 3 times a week to create meaningful change.
I've tried other somatic approaches, how is this different?
Many approaches focus on regulating or releasing emotions through the body. Ishtara is a unique science-supported, body-based method that goes beyond releasing and creates new patterns in the way you feel, act, and relate from the body-up.
Nereyda is a Licensed Teacher of Ishtara®. Nereyda has trained with the creator of Ishtara®, Tracy Harward, and is licensed as an independent teacher.
